Working at the Oklahoma Publishing Company
Immediately after graduating from Wells College in 1939, Edith Kinney Gaylord went to work for her father's company, where she wrote and edited for the Daily Oklahoman and the Oklahoma City Times. She served on the society staff, writing about local events and the wealthy and connected social circles of Oklahoma City. She also wrote broadcasts for her father's new radio station, WKY.
